What Tires WIll Fit??

I have A 79 Malibu and I'm in the process of notching the rear frame rails and possibly modifing the wheel wells if I have to. I have a set of Weld Magnums, 15x10 w/5"bs... My question is; What is the biggest tire that will fit?? I will be mounting Slicks and/or Drag Radials. I would like feedback from anyone who HAS mounted and run a specific tire size on a 10" rim. Please keep in mind that my car has stock style suspension but with coil-over shocks so I can adjust the ride height easily. I run the ride height in the rear as low as I can go because I absolutely HATE the jacked up look with tires sticking out :roll: One other note, My buddy gave me a set of MT drag radials 325-50 to try out ,but they look HUGE and I'm pretty sure they won't fit. Deep frame notch is done, MT 275-60 drag radila on a 10 inch rim fit sperfect...Would like to try the 325-50...Anybody have this size with stock wheel wells?

I'm wanting to put a 10" rim on mine as well. I run a 70 12 bolt. Kinda curios how big as well with a stock tub? Somebody post up a pic.

I do... very very tight and it might actually work. I'm afraid that hitting a bump/dip might put it in the 1/4 panel. The rounded shoulder of the tire is about even or just inside the bodyline and litterally have under 1/16" clearence on the frame-sidewall in the pics of it on thpass side. The pics of it on the drivers side aren't good quality and you can see how it kinda sticks out. The rear is half a** centered in these pics so with it centered it might just have enough room. I believe it's off about 1/4"-3/8" outward on the drivers side. My notch is even with the tub.

Wow, that IS tight! I wonder how close your Regal is in relation to my 79 Bu as far as tire fit. Did you notice a big difference in ET/60ft between the two tire sizes? Thanks! kewl_pics.gif
