I have an 81 Elcamino with a SBC and i took it to the scale and my front weighs 1840 which if you look that up for the springs that i need they are for a big block. I took the heater out, no power steering, no ac. But i do have a th400 i don't know it it would make all that much difference. The total car weights 3280.

e-mail them and ask. i did for my car and they replied with the heavier sbc springs. i have a lift off glass hood, no heat or a/c, no wipers or anything i don't need to race.

Why not try 6 cyl springs? That's what I have and they really seem to work well. There's a lot of stored energy in them.

With that said, I am running 28" tall front tires and have a stiff rebound front shock. Prior to the shocks and taller tire, my headers would hit after going over bumps/dips in the road. They haven't scraped once since the tires/shocks were installed.

go with a moroso 200 lb or the 212 lb trick springs.. Both will do the job,, but in more case's then one the 200 lbs springs will be the spring of choive if your gonna compare v6 springs to moroso's.
