Who is runninng MT street ET tires

I am having an issue with my MT street ET's and wanted to know if anyone had a solution.

To start 60' times = 1.59 - 1.60
stock rear end with 3-73 gears and south side bars.
Tire pressure changed from 17 all the way up to 22 PSI no help.

The first 3 or 4 passes of the night i do a little burn out and hook hard leaving at 1500RPMS, after that it just seems no matter what i do it will spin on me.

any suggestions?

I have the same tires. I cant get better then 1.71 60' out of mine.
Mine spin too. I do like them better the the MT Drag radials.
I would prefer your 60' then mine.

Talked to M/T tech rep

I talked with a M/T tech rep the other day and he said to run between 16 and 18* for a car around 3300LBS. He also stated do a hard burn out the first pass of the evening then just haze the tires from then on. I will be trying this theory this weekend. I will post results then.

What size tire? I have them about 7.5 lbs, but they are 32x17.50s and the car weighs 3200lbs. I did run the 28x11.50 on it before I backhalved it and I believe I ran them at 12lbs or so. Never had a problem hooking, but was a bit wobbly in the shut down area. It weighed 3500lbs back then

The verdict is in

Ok ran all weekend with 17 pounds in tires and air bag no issues.

big burn out first pass then just hazed tires never spun once hey just thought i would pass that along.

This was our nationals event for the year 3 day race friday - sun, well sunday got rescheduled lights messed up so don't know the make up day yet.

Friday car was 1.66 60' 7.68's

Saturday deadley 1.67 60' 7.69.6 five passes in a row then dropped of to 7.69.3 my next 2 passes car was deadley driver was lucky.

Sunday the 1 pass i made before being shut down was 7.69.3

I think i finally figured out this tire issue. Stand on rev limiter in first and second till smoke rolled first pass then just a short 4 to 5 sec burn out from then on with no issues.

Just in case you were not sure this is an 1/8 mile track LOL.
