    Transmission lines?

I don't see why not, so long as the fittings are the same... trans cooler lines aren't under any sort of extreme pressure.

    Hows this look?

If you pick up the latest Car Craft, you'll see a turbo junkyard 5.3 in the Horsepower! section making around 1000hp on something over 20psi... these engines are stupid tough...

Any chance anybody knows a good sage green substitute?

I originally was planning on a black interior, but now I'm thinking of something different... don't know if I want to do a combination of green/black or all green... everybody does black since it's somewhat universal, but I'm sticking with the factory green exterior.

Any chance anybody knows a good sage green substitute?

Since about the only thing that's reproduced in sage green is the carpet, I'm up a creek if I want to keep the original color in the '78. I can't find the site now, but the only green listed for the seats is vinyl (yuck), which isn't huge as I'm not that much of a stickler for the original...

Is a T5 really that hard to find???

I'm really wondering how much ahead I would be trying to piece one of these together. I've found a place or two that sells Chevy cases, but I'm sure they don't always have one available, and they aren't really any cheaper than a complete T5 from the junkyard. Add in a full rebuild kit (looks...

Looking for a good top end combonation for a 6.0

Depends on how driveable you want it... 220/230 for a driver, much more cam and you will probably need to up compression. Personally I plan to stroke any LS I get, no less than 3.75", plus an appropriate cam... the production intake ports on those are a bit bigger than the SBC, so they don't...

rear control arm braces do not fit alldoors?

That is strange... especially considering sedans use the same floorpan.

    Steering column swap

Fieros use the same/similar key release lever, I'm thinking of getting one from one of the local yards and seeing about putting the mechanism from the Fiero on my current column (tilt auto floor shift), I just don't know about that tube/bracket that connects to the auto shifter linkage.

    Steering column swap

On the subject of a steering column swap... one of our regulars showed up yesterday in a sexy '79 4-speed Elky... said he got the column from a late 2nd Gen Camaro, and it bolted right in. It didn't appear to be a factory manual because it didn't have the G-Body hump. Any insight to this?

Is the gas tank lined up exactly where it was? If not it can make putting those straps up a whole lot harder.

Is a T5 really that hard to find???

That's what I'm finding out  It seems everyone that has one wants $500+ for one too, rebuilt or not... I don't even want the gears that are in them, I just need the case & accompanying shifter parts.

Is a T5 really that hard to find???

Ever since I came across an article where a T5 was built for ~500lb.ft. of torque in a G-Body weight car, I've been watching for them for a suitable start... far as I can tell, the main difference externally is tailshaft configuration, and bellhousing pattern (GM 4-cyl, GM V6/8, and Ford), but...

    Good carpet.. Who make it.

I've been starting to look around myself, need carpet for the '78, since it has none.
