I think I missed something about the fuel lines from the beginning... why did you need the adapters again? I'm going with a stock EFI tank/sender when I do mine, but I'm replacing all the hardlines with lines from Inline Tube.
Have you checked out Stylin Concepts yet?

I believe the major things you'll come into interchangability issues with are the engine internals. External parts like brackets, oil pans, transmissions, etc. should be fine.
I'm not sure if it was a 621 bell I had, but even with using the G-Body fork I had issues, both with alignment and with the fork scraping the floorboard/trans tunnel. I believe there may be a pad where you can weld the old hole and move the ballstud down a little bit to align everything...
Yup. You really just need an adapter plate (and obvious crossmember/driveshaft/floorpan modifications) and you can bolt an LS-series T56 up to a Gen I/II using your existing bellhousing.
Yeah, that plastic piece is basically trim that goes over the hump and covers the edges of the carpet, then the boot sits on top of (or comes through) that.
I'd like to put a posi in the 'Bu for the upcoming hot rod season, but I don't know if I'll be able to swing the multi-hundo for a good aftermarket one. Are the stock units rebuildable? I thought I remember reading of a couple different brands that were in the 7.5s, but don't know this for sure.
I got a box of grade 8 bolts from http://www.midstatesbolt.com/ (they're local to me) when I went to get my Malibu, but I wasn't able to bolt everything back together like I'd hoped.
That's what I was thinking about with mine, a major reason I was hesitant to undertaking the body mounts until I knew exactly what I was getting into. I may do something like that with the 'Bu before I start driving it for the summer, just an added measure of safety since I don't know what...
I pull the distributor most of the time... I believe I've done it just by removing the cap/rotor though, the mounts should hold fairly decent. If you try to take it out without pulling the distributor, lower it a little bit at a time and just pay attention to where the motor stops.
Far as the...
You're talking about on the G-Bodies? Thanks for the info, I've had yet to look into the matter in-depth, you've just saved me some work :D How big of a hole do you think I'd need?
Hey, it was that one that was stripped already because someone else tried to remove it previously, remember? ;) That's a main concern of mine with the '78 actually, I don't know how I'm going to replace all the body mount "nuts" that the bolts thread into :?
CURSE YOU! CURSE YOU & YOUR CLEAN BARN/SHED/GARAGE/WHEREVER THAT IS!
Every picture I've seen from you everything is neat & tidy & spotless... are you ocd?
I've been doing some reading at http://www.DIYAutotune.com on using factory EFI components in conjunction with the MegaSquirt controller, I agree it's quite awesome. I believe I still have an old 350 throttle body (the motor in the 'Bu is originally an '88 TBI motor) sitting in the barn I could...
Everything will bolt up, I'm not positive on the driveshaft though. How much power do you think you're making? I have a 3-speed Saginaw in mine right now behind a 350-375hp 350 (~400 ft. lbs. of torque), and I didn't have a single problem with it all last summer. I've read both ways with...
