    new transmission tunnel humps?

I just used the steel trim ring & boot from a mid-80s S-truck with a 4/5-speed, easy to conform to the tunnel floor. These are the only pics I can currently find of it...

    new transmission tunnel humps?

Here is the trim piece, trim ring, and boot: Here is the sheetmetal piece that sits under the carpet:

    new transmission tunnel humps?

There are two pieces that are shaped like that. The other part of the setup is under the carpet, welded to the floorboard. That piece is screwed in with the trim ring to hold the boot in place. I'm not sure if anyone makes the sheetmetal piece you need to make everything look factory. If all...

Davisburg, MI? That's not very far at all. How much would he be asking? Is it open or limited slip?

T-5 with Ford bolt pattern for sbc

I probably would've had hard parts swapped, but for the HP I'm putting out now I don't think I'm gonna chance it on a T5.

I think I'll do a new trans. instead...

No, it had a 267/350 originally, 305/350 when I got it. Before I started driving it I put the 3-speed in.

I think I'll do a new trans. instead...

:roflback: Who knows??? I'll need something besides a set of 2.29s in the rearend, that's for sure! I doubt I'll ever build anything much over 500hp, so if anything just an upgraded T56 should suit what I'm looking at doing.

I'll probably look into Liberty too. They're based in MI so it's possible I could go pick it up instead of having them ship it to me.

I think I'll do a new trans. instead...

I've been doing some thinking, and it's boiled down to I'll just likely up & buy a new transmission when it comes time. I've been looking around online, and Keisler's apparently listing transmissions on eBay, much cheaper than I expected. http://motors.shop.ebay.com/merchant/keislerengineering...

Instrument cluster and A/C Bracket update

Re: Another small update - 11-29-08 Also, something else that would help would be to get a potentiometer. Do a little reading how to wire one up. Use Ohm's law (I=V/R, V=RI, etc.) to find the maximum current the LED can endure, then wire up the pot. (with calculated resistor to limit current)...

    Maliburacing gallery (Post your car)

78maliburat posted it. I think the tailgate would look pretty cool with a set of brushed aluminum strips similar to this: Then maybe have one of these airbrushed at the top center of the gate: The Chevrolet script would look a bit more streamlined/clean I think though.

    BACKYARD EFI

I'm kind of in the same boat for EFI. I put a set of Vortec heads on last year (have to yank everything back out for rings ), and was thinking about Vortec injection. I'm on http://www.fullsizechevy.com and asked over there, but either a)nobody knows, or b)nobody cares enough to answer...

    auto meter gauge installation

There's only one wire for the fuel level. There is a +12v and ground for each gauge. Check out this page: http://www.maliburacing.com/gauge_conversion.html Use the appropriate schematic for the cluster you just took out (cluster or wide sweep). If you have idiot lights, you'll need the...

    5.3 differences?

The intake may be different, accessories are probably different, but the long block should be the same, plus they may have DoD, I'm not sure when/if that started on the Montes. Oh yeah, coming from a Monte it's out of an SS, so it has<i></i> to be worth more

    3100 Tuned Port T5

Yeah, it was just an idea, it probably wouldn't even work because I think the oil pan would interfere. Should it fit though, imagine that sucker in an awd S10 or Sonoma :D
