Have you checked http://www.car-part.com yet? I was able to find both a 5.3 and 6.0 for under $800 within an hour or so of me. You may not have the same luck, but they're out there :) Just checked for the 4.8 and it's the same price :P
Get ahold of DeltaT. His 4 door looks downright sinister with black 17" rallyes :D
I may even go this route, was initially thinkin' about going with some prettyboy 17" aluminum wheels or the last in the line of ZQ8s.
I've seen some people here are sumping the stock tank. Other than that you could probably just run an inline pump. I'm leary of anything like that hanging down like I've seen though, which is why I'm aiming for the T-Type route.
If I go with electric fans again, I'll probably spend the money go with replacements for a T-Type/GN

This would be a good read.
In short, you connect either 85 or 86 on the relay to your ignition-switched source, and the remainder of the two you connect to a ground. Then you can wire the...
I didn't make much sense  When I said the pitch of the blades being in a certain direction, I meant them being curved like the one in the eBay ad. Did you mean something else? I've seen some with curved blades like that that're near flat at the outer rim, and the pitch of the blade gets...
The reason they say they're directional is they're much more effective if the pitch of the blade is in a certain direction. Basically, if you think of the fan blade as a scythe, that's where you want the pressurized air to be, on the inside of the curve of the blade (if that makes any sense :P).
Or, you could get the Speed Direct kit clutch rod replacement kit ($70) :)
http://www.speeddirect.com
Replaces the original rods with bolt-in tubular ones with spherical ends so you don't have to worry about that anymore :D
Yep, had a fuse just before the relay from the battery, relay was ignition-switched, and the thermostat switch was between the relay and fan, wired fan straight to ground. I thought I'd seen somewhere about a diode or something that's supposed to keep from ruining the motor when it's...
No problem :) I'm slightly wary about electric fans anymore though, took my last one off after blowing 4 alternators over the course of about 5 days... I may have had something wired up wrong, but everything with that fan setup worked fine for the year of drive time preceding the alternator fiasco.
The only part of the wiring I see is for the motor itself, looks like just a connector on the end...??? If that's the case and your harness/relay/fuse wasn't designed for it, you should just be able to splice into the wiring. Being that it's reversible, you don't have to worry about burning...
i've just used a boxed end wrench to break the bleeder free/cinch it back down, but before I put a hose on for the catch bottle I take it off and use the open end to tighten it enough so no air gets back in when I get the cylinder bled. For the caliper I just leave the boxed end on the bleeder.
If you're planning on reusing your lines, get some line wrenches. Only reason I had to use Vice Grips was because I'd rounded the nuts on the lines. I wouldn't use the VG if the lines are good, but it sounds like you have a line that needs replacing if you've found a leak someplace besides at...
