I found one post where someone said they used the under hood fuse panel from a LT1 Camaro. The post I remember had something from some sort of nissan that was pretty sharp.

I thought about that as well, but the hood lines are so wide on a malibu and gmt-400 truck, that I don't know if would look good unless it was maybe just an inch tall.

It is somewhat hard to be original with a hood anymore. People have done just about everything imaginable. I always like seeing a new idea or a new twist on an old idea. Another idea I have had is rather then a cowl, get a hood from a early 50's chevy truck, cut and section that hood down...

I thought about doing an HD style hood for my suburban, but I really don't think it would come out looking as good as the newer trucks with that raised center. I would almost rather graft in some IROC style hood vents on my burb. Just put them flat on the hood just like they were on the IROC...

There's the conflict. The S-10 is so dang clean. And it is a 84 with low miles. I can't bring myself to sell it. So guess I will continue on with the sleeper build.

Headers on are the way now actually. For now I am going to buy the little heat covers for the plug wires I have. They are all right angle and should be out of the way of the headers. I have started installing my wire looms since this picture as well.

I wouldn't do it to my other truck, but this one still has all the seals on the hood and firewall. Time will tell though.
