4 speed linkage problem

Looks just like my aftermarket comp plus without the welded on nuts. I'd keep the bolt to hole clearance tight as possible or find the right shoulder bolts to make it bullet proof.

That is good advice. Perhaps better is to weld on nuts. Also, make sure your bolt hole spacing is the same as a Hurst so you can easily change handles if you want to.

dear guys,thanks for the help,i think the best way ita to take some pics of my shifter and show you .the one its in the pic are not the same as mine,mine has not the 2 holes, only a small hole .

The pictures are of a modified one with the side cut off to mount a shifter stick, instead of using the push-in type.

...by cutting down the center of the bucket, drilling 2 holes in the base of the handle and in the remaining 1/2 of the bucket, and bolting on the handle. The result looks similar to the Hurst F body shifter.

Yes, the pictures are after the modification I described earlier. If you already have one bolt hole, it was put there by someone trying to keep the handle from pulling out. Originally, there are no bolt holes.
