Can i use 16197427ecm without 4L60E?

I'm putting a 94' tbi 4.3l v6 into my 83' El camino i got the wiring from a 94 tbi chevy astro with a 16197427 ecm. I'm using a th350 transmission so i took out all the trans and vss wiring from the harness will this work or am i gonna run into problems? Can a custom chip fix this?

I did the same thing when I put my 94 vortec 4.3 in my 80 elco, only im using a manual trans. Send the ECM to Howell Engine development and have them delete the trans and VSS from the Prom.
