To pass through the inner fender I used a 3" hole saw, The 4" to 3" reducer
fit perfectly. It sits in the hole with just 1 piece of thin Stainless 90 degree
bracket I made. The bracket is seen in pic #1522. Making everything my self,
the cost was minimal, The aluminum Tube was the most expensive piece of
the puzzle , at $60.

ELDABO, We have a "store" here in Buffalo called, The Metal Supermarket, it's a huge
candy store for us fabricators =P~ =P~ . They literally have every kind of "metal" on the planet 8) 8) .
I opted to keep the stock hood so I had to take hood clearance considerations when
fabbin the set up. The "spacer" between the upper and lower lid is 3 1/2" tall so I could only make a 3" coupler to join the aluminum tube to. Future plan is a 4" Cowl
hood and going to go 6" ducting all the way up and a 6" spacer at the housing. \:D/ The filters are available through K&N with pretty much any size flange.
Sucking cold air as opposed to the hot air under the hood made a big difference, on warm summer nights
my ET's, averaged .20 gain  On a cool fall evening averaged .50. that is with
the current 3" set up, can't wait to step it up to the 6" set up and see the difference.
