My 80 Monte Carlo Project under way. orig 4.4L now switching to a 355, 492 heads with screw in studs, guide plates, roller rockers, powder coated performer intake, Comp Cams 268HE cam, HEI Dist, Holley 670 Vac Sec carb, 200r4 Trans, 3.73 rear.

Had a little trouble with my Edelbrock heads when I first got them,not enough flat surface on the exhaust ports to seal the headers,kept blowing header gaskets as soon as the engine was fired,call Edelbrock,and they where great,pulled them off,they picked them up,remachined the exhaust flanges on the outside of the head and sent them back with all new gaskets at no charge to me!!! A definite upgrade to the double humps I was running,engine even runs cooler.Good luck with your set.Here's some before and after shots of the flange area and what happened to the header gaskets before the repairs.hopefully you don't have the same trouble I did,again Good luck,John
