I see you're using the steel horseshoe... hopefully you have a round cover steering box, otherwise you'll run into pulley interference issues.

This was after grinding on the box cover.

couple of pics with the motor finally in the car.
I cleaned up the A/C unit and lines with a little aluminum wheel polish. The motor is running a comp-cams XE262H-14 cam ( 464 / 470 lft ) with roller rockers, steel crank, pink rods with eye-browed pistons, and a set of patriot performance vortec heads ( with the old school valve covers to top it off ), which the builder tells me is good for about 10.5:1 compression all with a holley spreadbore carb to top it off.

Can't hardly tell the difference between the new 350 and the old 305 that was in there. dancin_banana.gif

thx much. I always like seeing a clean but stock-looking "driver" instead a show car as it always seems a little more approachable. I personally like a few scratches and dents here and there, with a little louder exhaust note than stock, a better stereo than stock, a little faster than stock, better braking than stock, all while appearing virtually stock. The scratches and dents and born upholstery shows to me thatl the car is driven but because it's clean it shows that it's cared for at the same time.

In the near future I am working on making my own dual snorkel aircleaner because that chrome one looks out of place to me. Maybe this winter.
