Ls1 + T56 swap in 79 Monte: Motor mounts and crossmember?

Hey guys,

at the moment I'm planning parts lists and so.

I'll get a 1998 LS1 with a T56 for my Monte Carlo 79.

Which motor mounts and crossmember I should get? I don't want to use the a/c. I'm a noob when it comes into these things and I don't know much about stuff like that.

Thanks,
-Kevin (from Germany)

There are different people to talk to. Search for a company called retro lsx, they make a pretty good kit, and shaun will take care of you. Maybe a little more pricey, but def. worth it. If you are trying to save money, get the motor mounts from summit racing by Transdapt that set the motor back 1". Then get with iceman on here (site vendor) and ask him about making a crossmember for you.

I bought the car shop adapter plates and used the stock clam shells mounts. I have a Iceman crossmember and the clutch pedal I bought from a guy at GSI interiors off on monte carlo ss forum. I had my hareness done by Jesse at wait4meperformance.com
