From what I remember, the CTS-V pan hung below the crossmember slightly (maybe 1/2"). I wouldn't have a problem going that route if I was the one driving the car, because I would be mindful of the pan hanging below the crossmember. Since my teenage son is driving it, I decided against it for obvious reasons. I ended up going with the Moroso 20140 pan with remote filter. I probably wouldn't do that again. It was kinda' a pain routing the hoses for the remote filter and a hassle to find a mounting location. There are more alternatives out there now.
