Will a auburn posi from a 2000 camaro work in my 79 7.5.its a 7.62 28 spline thats in the camaro.i know id have to buy 28 spline axles.just wanna make sure the unit can be used in my housing.thanks.

I'm pretty sure it will work as long as you run 28 spline axles. I ran a Zexel-Torsion posi that came out of a 3rd gen f-body successfully with 28 spline Moser axles in my '78 housing for years 'til I wore it out. They changed to the Auburn unit after the Torsion style as OEM.
I agree with lasttime, It wont.
Cutlass389 used a 3d gen which as lasttime states is from an 82-97 (third gens are 82-92) the 98-02 cars have a different posi unit. and if its out of a highly optioned SS is different from that yet!
