yes sir it is.

the 78-87 7.5 rears have 26 spline axles, 1988 and up are 28 spline, So the axles have to be changed to 28 spline.

I ran a posi out of an f-body with 28 spline Moser axles for a few years. It did fine until I started to get a little air under the left front. [-X
