ive got a pinion seal leaking on my 83 wagon 7.5 inch diff
the problem is i cant get the fill plug out as it is all messed and a 3/8 extension
no longer fits snug enough to break it loose
any ideas on this thanks woody ](*,)
Take a small chisel and tap the plug in the counter clockwise direction like you would to take it out. I have taken several stubborn plugs out like that. Another option is to get a 3/8 pipe nipple and cap from the hardware store. Cut the nipple on half. Then drill a hole in the inspection plate and weld the nipple to it. Put it back on the rear fill with fluid and put the cap on.
