Rearend ratio

Does anyone happen to know what the stock rearend ratio would be in a 1975 El Camino w/454 - 4spd ? Thanks!

Look on your passenger side axle tube for the suffix code couple of letters and number will be stamped in the housing. Get them and I will run it. AS far as stock? Who knows. If you have the original rear in the car that axle tube wll tell you what was in it and you can go from there to see if it actually has the original gear still in it. I would be highly surprised a big block stick shift camino still has its original gear still alive...lol. Never know though. 8.5 is pretty strong. Jim

Hi Jim,Thanks for the reply.I don't have the car,I was just curious.The car is for sale and I'm thinking about getting it.The guy only wants $1500 for it.You're probably right about it still having the original gears.Thanks again,Dave.
