throttle cable

What did you guys use for a throttle cable for a 5.3 or 6.0 with a stock truck intake?
Did you just use the stock cable from a 99+ 1500 pickup?

I just paid the 40 bucks and got the lokar one from summit, I believe it was 36" long, and wasn't hard to put on at all

Okay, I saw those for sale, but wasn't sure if that would be good route to go or not? I've put in a few throttle cables before, and like you said there not all that bad of a job, but I was unsure that a stock one off of a truck would work or not.
I would think a stock one would work, but if you say the aftermarket cable definantly works than I'll just stick with that.

I don't have the part number, but talk to the kid with the malibu wagon, he'll have it as he just ordered it. I have it, had to adjust it a little bit, but works great!
