Throttle cable

Are the throttle cables different length between v6 and v8 malibus? I'm putting a big block in my malibu and the stock v6 cable is too short and i cant remember if the small block v8 cable is the right length?

I have replaced three V6 Malibu`s with Quadrajet carburatored V8`s and the throttle cables are the same. Doug

V8 24.25"

i still have the stock cable in my monte. the car came with a 4.3L V6 and now has a SBC in it.
