CAN'T WAIT TILL I INSTALL MY ASTRO SHAFT. LET ME KNOW HOW MUCH YOU LIKE IT!!
The shaft and bearing change wasn't a huge difference but a good one. It now reacts a bit quicker to inputs with a smoother feel.
(The smoother feel could be the placebo effect of the bearing)
It looks a lot better and cleaned up the area well.
The poly core support bushings also weren't a big change.
I replaced the factory ones about three years ago with new rubber ones so they weren't that bad.
Now when the suspension reacts to steering input it's more of a direct feeling rather than the old "Would you like that today" feeling.
It's still not as good as I would like though. I've got too much slop in my steering box or some play in the suspension.
I'm thinking of finding a set of Delrin bushings for just the core support.
If anybody has that number don't hesitate to post it.
If I can't find those for just the core support I might opt for the Energy suspension 9.4101G bushings.
They are firmer yet than the 9.4102G that I just installed.
