That's true... If you could incorporate some type of bushing you may be on to something though.

good or bad I'm going to find out. the trans mount only moved about 3/16" up and down. I'm sure it will be fine. they weld roll cages to the body and the frame. worst case it'll pull the bolts out. I could mount some rubber in there but it would only cushion the bounce up. maybe rubber washers under the heads of the bolts? idk

I think when they do that they usually have solid mounts, don't they?
my friend's regal has a cage, I'll have to check his mounts.

I replaced the hood release cable on my Monte SS.It was getting hard to pull and I was worried it might break.I've had a brand new OEM one in the box for several years, wasnt real sure how to replace it.I took the inside kick panel and the inner fender off so I could see where it ran through the firewall.Took a couple of hours alltogether, something else to cross off of my,(Never Ending),list.Works real good now, pulls nice & easy.

Went to the pick and pull yesterday and got the alternator, starter, alternator bracket (didn't fit), and dipstick tube. Got to love picking parts in the rain.

today I figured out the rest of my wiring and made an alternator bracket. Man this swap is starting to nickel and dime me.lol

The Sticks... Tewksbury MA
drove down to Elizabeth NJ and met up with Ed (83Streetmachine) and bought a 1LE kit, 200-4r trans crossmember as well as Edelbrock tie-rod adjusters from him for my 82 wagon. hopefully by next year, it will be an 82 street machine!

also, made a stop at white castle, and also stopped by a liquor store and purchased as much Yuengling as i could, seeing as how we can't buy it in New England
