I just put in a MSD 6-AL in the bu and it runs after I turn the key off. What kind of diode do I need and where do I splice it in? I can get it at Radio Shack right ? TIA
The Bu I recently picked up has aluminum drums and was wondering is there any benefit to running them or any cons to them? Kinda a dumb question I know but I'm curious.
I'm 99% sure that the motor he had the starter on was the original 327 but there is that 1% that always seams to bite me in the hiney :? I would love to use it (it puts out some serious twist) the mount holes are slightly off set but you all know how "pretty close" goes on cars. Hopefully...
So my starter is about to take a dump on me . I have a GM mini starter from a 2002 Avalanche (5.3 L ?) was wondering if this on will bolt to my 70's era small block. I knew a guy who did this to a first gen Camaro , but never got a look at it .
I'd pull the gauge cluster and see if you have power at the connector, if so printed circuit may be burned or ??? do you still have lights at the A/C heater controls? If you do I'd say printed circuit. Aren't electrical gremlins fun?! ;)
OK Guys my girlfriends (97 Buick LeSabre) voltmeter if reading high all the time at 'round 16-17 volts on the gauge I don't know if this is normal and what I should do if it isn't. I swaped out the battery a while ago and it is still reading high, voltage regulator bad or ???? wada ya think? :?

O.K. I had a similar prob just last week (look under my bu is possessed in this forum) All I did is was pull the turn signal cam apart and cleaned up the crap on the contacts and it was fixed, but you may want to check the wiring for loose or busted wires especially if it's a tilt. If it is the...
I did pull the column appart and opened up the turn signal and it was all goobuler and gross, cleaned that up and put it back together. So far the bu isn' "winking" at me any more. thanks for the help guys :D
