Finally got another camera and got a little video of the exhaust on the truck... idle doesn't waver as much now as it does in the video.

Looks good :D My 383 pulls all the way to he upper end since I did some mild port work on the heads (mainly cleanup anr unshrouding the valves), if you plan on just keeping it mostly stock I'd suggest porting a pair of TBI heads... while you're at it may as well put a small cam and EBL in ;)
I'm running an EBL (http://www.dynamicefi.com) on my truck, and with the fuel injectors/pressure I'm running them at I believe I have enough volume capacity to do an E85 tune on my truck. Like killer406 I lived only about 10 minutes from a station with E85 in Michigan. There is supposedly a...
Although I haven't started messing with it yet (mainly because I'm still working on fine tuning the truck, plus it's only 9.6:1 with iron heads) I wouldn't mind setting up a tune for it on the truck. I'm pretty sure the injectors can handle the extra fuel, right now their max duty cycle is only...
I dreamt of driving mine out here. I miss driving a stick and picking on all the wannabe hot rods :( There are just as many ricers out here as there are in MI
I wouldn't think lowered applications would have any issues, but I haven't looked into it enough of course. It would likely be a nice upgrade from the drums, but for any major stopping power I do think those calipers and rotors would probably fall short as well.
If you ever put a set of headers on, I might suggest some Taylor pkug wires. I don't have the part # off the top of my head, but they were a good price (under $30-40 iirc) and fit under he headers I have nicely.
If you look earlier in the thread for my videos, you may hear what you're looking for. They're not extremely 'crackly', but there's a little bit there.
