    Is this a good deal?

I would imagine. The 'sports car' stuff always says 'mark me up' :P On that note... are the cams in the Y & F Body LS1s the same?

    Is this a good deal?

I don't think you'd have much trouble with either, just use the appropriate oil pan/pickup... unless the truck intake interferes with the hood.

    4.3 DISTRIBUTOR

I would find a similar Monte or likewise car with a ccc and distributor. That would at least be a starting point, I'm not sure of the best places to look for info on those types of parts. If I were sticking with a carbed 4.3 I would stick with a 2bbl. intake (performance if you can find one)...

    Is this a good deal?

I agree it's a little high, you could probably get that combo for a hair under $2k. The mileage isn't that bad, but I wouldn't say that would make up for over $500 in price. StreetBu your linky no worky :P

Father/Son '79 Malibu project has started! (Part 1)

The nose is an '82+ El Camino/Malibu header panel/grille, and the wheels are from an '86-'87 in that range Monte SS.

Need help with fuel system for EFI

That's cool ;) I thought you might've meant '96+, those pumps are higher pressure for the SFI setups in the Vortec engines.

Need help with fuel system for EFI

Really? I thought TBI motors ran at less than 20psi, with the Vortec, TPI, etc. motors running >45psi?

    EFI setups

That $450/$750, is that the Speartech kit? Also, do they just need the engine compartment side (I haven't looked at any LSx wiring so I don't know how everything is wired)?

? about changin to hei distubor from factory 88 monte one

IIRC the module for an older distributor gets power right from the cap (weird as that sounds). When you make the + connection to the cap, there's a short harness that goes from that same area down to the module, no extra connections needed (i.e. the ones you posted), all of those are to control...

    headlight problem

I ran the same wattage on the '81 a few years ago and it melted part of the socket :? Wiring is ok, just got too hot for the plastic.

    Sterter fuseible link replacement

Guess I should note that there is a slight risk involved if you don't have something in place of the links. If I hadn't replaced mine while the car was on the side of the road, I would have wired in some 30A fuses to each run.

    Sterter fuseible link replacement

I wouldn't be too concerned with replacing the links, I had to replace two of mine (did all 3 connections though, I believe there are 4 originally), used regular 10ga. wire, and routed it directly to the battery, away from the heat of the manifolds/headers.

    For rear discs... ?s

Roger Wilco :) So I'd pretty much just need the distribution block from a rear disc-equipped vehicle from the sounds of it :D

    ok ls1 swap again

I don't see why you couldn't use the factory column linkage, so long as the shifter detent on the 4L60E is the same as the 200R4 or 350. I'd get new plastic bushings from a dealer to take out any slop though on the frame bracket & in the shifter rods.
