    LT1 help!?

 I had '81 Malibu, 5.7/350... Mine wasn't to constrict his options, since there're so many and I had no clue what his price range was.

    For rear discs... ?s

The bolt on part doesn't concern me so much, I asked this question more after reading this thread: http://www.maliburacing.com/forum/viewtopic.php?t=62232&highlight= It brings up valid points of switching from drum to disc in the rear, and it would be ideal (imo) to start out with the original...

    Tremec TKO 600

Ok, you're under MAJOR suspicion  I would've thought when they designed the header they would've pointed the collector at more of a vertical angle :P It also appears you're using a nylon line for your oil pressure gauge. With the heat it may not be a bad idea to run a copper line. After...

    LT1 help!?

That's what the link I posted is. It gives tons of headers, I didn't feel like sorting through the 10 pages is all

How to wire Neutral safety switch.

If it can handle the current, yes. I'm a fan of using relays for wiring over 14ga.

MAster cylinder & prop valve help

I was thinking the same as Tommy on the bias, once you hit the brakes the weight starts to transfer towards the front of the car, unloading the rear tires. One of the best ways to tune the brake bias would be to actually use a gauge to check line pressure to each of the brakes. If I had the...

    For rear discs... ?s

Would the matching booster/master cylinder from a '98ish Blazer bolt on? I'm asking this in lieu of the dual piston caliper/rear disc swap.

    LT1 help!?

I'd get a thicker flange, this will help keep the flange itself from warping with heat, keeping a better seal on the heads. I have a pair of Hooker Comps on the '81, had to replace the old ones because they wouldn't clear the mechanical clutch linkage. The bungs he was talking about are the...

will this work and still protect the circuit?

I'd run 10ga. from the battery through to the pump, and you could run 18ga. for everything else.

will this work and still protect the circuit?

Had to look at it for a second  Looks good to me. Just curious, why wouldn't you pigtail off an ignition-switched circuit in the fuse panel?

    BATTERIES?

I'm going to have to disagree a little on this one (for once). Just from my experience. I have a (I believe it's an EverStart) battery from a junkyard that's been sitting in the Malibu since September, and it still had plenty of oomph to start the Malibu so I could move it. Ran for 5-10...

WE Did IT!! GO Mighty 6'ers!

Yes they did :) It's the exact same motor I believe (maybe forged internals), the intake/fuel system is different, but I think that's it.

    Tach Size?

There will be some sort of fab work with just about any gauge you use. My personal thought on the matter is use a piece of aluminum stock you can mount to the factory cluster housing, remove the factory gauges, and route the wiring through the cluster housing.

    Tach Size?

If I had to pick an Autometer line (I know there are many good brands out there) I think I'd go with something with a dark face, like the Carbon Fiber, Z series, Pro-Comp, or Cobalt. I think the Carbon & Cobalt would probably be my top picks.

    Tach Size?

I wanna guess it's around 3". You say analog/digital, are you talking about staying with a needle or going with a digital readout? Many of the new tachs (gauges in general) nowadays have stepper motor circuitry that is quite accurate, and unless you want the all-digital look, I'd stick with an...

    Escalade motors

Yes, the dry sump was what I was thinking about specifically. But outside that it's more or less the same long block as the LS3?
