it doesn't look like i have the tabs....i have 2 rounded notches that go inward just about where those tabs are supposed to be.
8.2 10 bolt chevy is what you have. the 10 bolt 8.2 BUICK OLDS and PONTIAC top picture will have bolt in axle shafts. They are not bad rear to build BUT they are expensive...more expensive then the 8.5 . The 8.5 is a good choice for what ever you are doing.
We drag race the 8.5 and do a ton of custom work with the 8.5 rears, MANY out in the yards and they are strong. Jim

They still use the 10 bolt 8.5 in the 2009 trucks a almost 40 year run on a rear differential... IT is the small block chevy of the rear differential world.
