A scat 9000 crank will save you some $$ and it will hold up to a 150 shot if things are balanced and built/tuned properly... Thats the route I went, no N20 yet, but maybe this year once the AFR's go on. When I build my 434 it will get a dart block and an all forged bottom end along with about a 200 shot of juice!

Guys,

I like the input, but the reason I set the guide lines I did was mainly because I work so much and travel alot. I just cant see spending $8000 on a motor that will set in a car inside a garage and not get driven much.
I want to build something on a $2000 budget or so, that I can have some fun with on a rare basis that will not blow up the first time out although sh*t does happen.

Some very good ideas and will take you alls opinions and make my decisions.

Basic reality, if I have a young punk in a mustang that his mom and dad bought for him that thinks he is the bad a$$ on the street, I have a car that will bring him down a notch or two if I happen to be out cruising in my malibu....LOL
