here's my buddy andy's fresh 331, just before 1st fire-up. it's got a stock steel l/j crank, rebuilt stock rods w/arp's, stock replacement forged fuelie vette pistons(10.75:1), ported edelbrock rpm heads, crane solid roller(.600 lift, 256/260 duration @ .050), edelbrock street ram tunnel ram w/600 cfm holley 4160s. it's too small to make any real earth-shattering power, but it should be good for 450 or so, and it'll wind to 7,500 rpm to get there! it's gonna be a fun little screamer. this is his temporary motor, just so he can drive the car for the summer & concentrate on the interior and getting the blower motor ressurected(maybe replacing the 6-71 with 2 turbos).
