when i built the air pan i started with a air bell like this one http://store.summitracing.com/partdetail.asp?autofilter=1&part=QFT%2D200%2D2&N=700+115&autoview=sku
then its just the same alum your thinking about using it was a quick and easy job to make

best way to clean an engine bay up....tear everything out including motor and start over and only put in there waht you need. then you wont have all the red, yellow, black, blue, green and whatever color wires all over the place. black and red ftw
