jitteryguy, keep up the good work on the kid working on the car. he may hate you for it, or he may suprise you and be a great co-worker. when my son busted a pin on his oil drive gear and seized his engine, i made him help me rebuild his engine. it ment pulling the engine, tearing it down, getting the machine work, checking the specs, putting it together, installing it and testing it. if he couldn't work on it that night, (c'mon dad, i have to go and meet phallusbrain in town), then i said, ' cool, i guess you don't want to drive anymore'. 9 outa 10 he would stay and work with me. it was great fun for both of us. he and i learned a lot about each other and about cars. i would say it was one of the best times we had as a father and son experience. get the young ones interested in cars. it will keep them too broke for drugs....

that is my Grandson (Nate), he come's over bout every saturday and helps me work on somethen , he love's it and is better at put'n tools back than any of my (4) boy's ever was . my youngest son (Tony) like's to work on the car's with / or for me. the 2 oldest just dont have it em , not every body does and that is cool too. Nate, Tony and I are currently fix'n up a V8 S10 for one of my other son's and we just an S10 to make Tony a drag racer out of .

jittery, your grandson is great. what a shot of him with the hair. my son is pretty good at general maintennance on his truck. but, he never really got into the hot rod part of it. music is his passion, (which is ok with me. like you said, 'its not for everyone').
