I tested and tuned yesterday at NED. The weather was horrible, mid 80's (maybe higher) and very high humidity. Made 3 passes.

1st pass

60' 2.388 (spun hard)
1/8 8.886
1/4 13.324
mph 110.65

2nd pass. Shifted passed second into third, back to second then third

60' 2.054 (hooked a little better, still spun though)
1/8 8.321
1/4 12.838
mph 108.74

3rd pass

60' 1.953
1/8 7.872
1/4 12.221
mph 111.96

last time i was up my 60's were in the low 1.8's. I think with better air and hokking a little better their is an easy 11 second pass in the truck. It has awesome mph for the ET's its running. Not bad for a junkyard 5.3 with a cam.

im already searching for a good aluminum block to build for next year strictly for weight purposes. It will save around 60-70 pounds.

When your brother had the 5.3 in his s10 what was his combo and what did he run with it?

i heard 80 lbs savings, i heard they take the abuse better because the pistons weigh less.

went up again today and get some new times. I was launching around 2000 rpms off te foot brake as my converter has proven to be fairly tight.

Best run

11.99
114 mph
1.88 sixty foot

best mph i had was 114.5. of the four runs i made all had MPH between 113 and 114.5

Im going to try putting a little more timing in it too, see what happens

Nice dude, finally got an 11 out of it. I only got two dam runs in and left, I was tired of sweating in the staging lanes. Best I managed was a 12.15@112. Gonna actually go back for a street night and be there at 6pm for the first runs, figure it'll hook good for about an hr then the traction will go bye bye. But I did mange to get the front up in the air.

I know I saw. The actionracingphotos guys got some real good pictures of your car. If you add more timing and benefit from it, let me know.

After looking at my slips from last time, the only difference is a solid 2mph increase. All i did was bump the jet up 2 sizes in the front, i wonder if it wants even more.
