4.10s make for an something near 4000 rpm on the driveshaft at those speeds? You might just need a more accurate balance than the shaft got from keisler for those angles and that speed. Most stock shafts aren't properly for that speed either. Might be worth a call to a local shop to see how much to spin it up and check the balance?? :?

Today I was driving pretty hard and drove through the vibration. Did about 90 and everything held together.
Car will be going out of comission for awhile as I figure out how to stuff a 454 into it.
This time I will check for runout and make sure its done correct. I need a new clutch fork, does anyone have the part number for the stock piece?
I will post more pics of the runout check and whatever else I do as it pertains to this TKO install.

The A body bellhousing casting # are 469697 and 462606. They both use fork P/N 14007356.
Bellhousing #469697 uses a 168 tooth flywheel. (You'll need this one for the 454.)
Bellhousing #462606 uses a 153 tooth flyhwheel.

The F-body bellhousing conversion uses bellhousing casting #14037657 and 14060627. Both use 153 tooth flywheels.
Both use fork P/N 14037647.

The Vette conversion uses bellhousing casting #14048867, a 153 tooth flywheel and fork P/N 14066235.

which bellhousing are you currently using on your small block? If your using the lakewood, your fine.. if your running the stock G body 606 bellhousing, you'll either have to find a 153 tooth flywheel, or upgrade to the lakewood bell.

I've been following your buildup too as my malibu is a factory 4 speed car and i'm looking into the 5 speed TKO, but i'm also swapping in a big block at the same time, and swapping in a 9" rear end first. Did you actually need to cut that big of a hole in the side of the factory 4 speed hump? That's the only part of the swap that's bugging me!..

I think your vibration is either driveshaft, or rear end related.. have you considered measuring the factory angle etc. on a "stock" malibu or G body at the rear of the transmission, and the rear end, and comparing them with yours? My malibu would vibrate at 80 to 100, but over 100, it would clear up, then come back around 130ish with 3.73 gears, I replaced all bearings etc, in the rear end, and it cleared up. I only did that because I knew everything else was "stock location" and hadn't been changed.

If It's a 606 it won't. All stock 454 flywheels are 168 tooth. You'll need the 697 bellhousing or an aftermarket flywheel. TCI makes a 153 tooth flywheel P/N 299554.

OK , so if I want to keep the 606 I swap in a 153 tooth flywheel? I am confused. I need this broke down Barney style. I am having a hard time thinking straight... the inlaws are visiting for 30 days and I am unable to put together a coherent thought.

Yes, but GM never made a 153 t 454 flywheel. You'll need to spend a few $$ and get the aftermarket TCI P/N 299554. It may actually be cheaper and definitely faster to do that way than to find the GM 697 bellhousing.

There's also another alternative. The Lakewood bellhousing would be my choice. The fit tolerances are better and you get to keep your feet if the clutch blows.

Let me see if I got this: Keep my 606 and get aftermarket 153 OR swap to the lakewood and keep the 168? Is this internally balanced or external?
Am I looking at this correct finally?

OK, I finally found the flywheel. The TCI aftermarket flywheel is p/n 399554. I was looking for the wrong part. The price is right at around $123. Thanks for getting me in the ballpark.
