I run a custom T56 so I would go with the TKO if those were the only 2 choices

M23 is a "new updated" version on the M22

Yup. AGE now calls their redisegned Muncies "Syracuse" 4 speeds. The M23 is the severe duty version.

After a lot of soul searching I am moving away from my M21 to a Legend LGT700. I looked at a lot of the other 5 speeds. Seems most don't like high rpm shifts, have synchro issues with fast shifts and just don't drive like a Muncie. The Legend seems to answer all those issues. After driving one I wholeheartedly recommend it. After you get done spending the money to modify the production style 5 speeds you're only a little bit away from the Legend.

I have a TKO600 mechanical linkage old style Chevy Lakewood bell housing not the odd ball Malibu one. Home made crossmember I think my motor is lower in the back than it was with the Muncie because the TKO is really close to the trans tunnel. TKO doesn't shift as good as the Muncie did but it doesn't sound like the rods are going to fly out of the motor driving on the highway either.

G body linkage probably has a extra hole drilled in it. Std Chevy Lakewood bellhousing and fork. Bucket seats.

Check out Meat Drapes topic on it. He documents his build.

My tunnel had been modified for a Hurst Super 3 and it still hit.

You're probably remembering me. Ran an iceman with my super t-10 4 speed, he said it was a 4-speed.
I put in my TKO and the same crossmember worked. I just had to shift it around a little. The factory cross member uses 2 bolts per side, the Iceman uses only 1 per side, you can shift it around a little for different configurations.

Meat gets a little off topic in his like 40+ page thread, its a simple swap.

Here is another pedal option. I retained my mechanical linkage, and will try and keep it as long as I can. I cannot comment on quality of JohnB, or this pedal, but this is just another option
The SSM Clutch Pedal

What fluid are you running? I hear the fluid has a LOT to do with shift quality. Mine glides into gear man.
I'm using the penzoil version of syncomesh

Indeed. I was actually just watching a video recently about synchros, etc., and always follow the mfr's suggestion, the synchro/cone composition dictates what oil you need, and if you use the wrong one you could have problems shifting, or worst case, wind up ruining the synchros.
