Here is a pic of the header in relation to the mech clutch linkage.
There is BARELY any room to work. It is a ROYAL PITA to get the header bolt up against the oil pan installed.

Ok, you're under MAJOR suspicion :lol:

I would've thought when they designed the header they would've pointed the collector at more of a vertical angle It also appears you're using a nylon line for your oil pressure gauge. With the heat it may not be a bad idea to run a copper line. After replacing mine with copper (by choice, before any failures) and after I purged the air (which may have been part of it too?) from the line it was a night & day difference in how fast the gauge reacted to oil pressure.

The reducer has a cut in it that sends the exhaust straight down. From there I have a 90* bend that allows just enough room to remove the oil filter, and its all tucked up so you cant see anything. I have enough room as well to adjust the clutch linkage.

Thats the flywheel. It survived about 30 passes. Once I put a sticky tire on the rear, the flywheel burned to a crisp.
I still have it. It would be great for a very mild big block build up that was not going to see very much track time if any. Used with a Center Force Dual Friction and a radial tire... it would last forever. I kept the Center Force pressure plate too.... Center Force said it could be the bead blasted and be good to go. Needs a new clutch disk.
Not that I am trying to sell anything here.

So then who makes a steel 10.4 flywheel those tci numbers in the earlier posts are for flexplates

McLeod makes a decent flywheel that is externally balanced. 10.5" and weighs perhaps 22lbs. It is part of the Street Twin setup. This was the only option if you stay with a stock bellhousing.
SPEC might be able to accomodate a 10.5" setup. And I didnt have a problem with them, I had a problem with the size of the flywheel. 10.5" is really not enough surface area for a decently powered Big Block. Thats why I went with a Street Twin. Dual disk gets me twice the friction surface.
It fine on the street too, very smooth. And when I turn it loose on the track, its a beast.

i was thinking of possably going with one of these if there was no other options. This way I could get a forged steel flywheel.

Nothing new. Have not been able to work on the x member issue. I have been street driving a little here and there. The clutch sure is stiff still. transmission feels like it did after original break in again after Keisler went through it. Although 4th gear is noisy on low RPM acceleration, never was before.
6 more weeks until I move to Augusta GA. I am more worried about moving and selling my house then anything else.
