The ends are pretty strong, its the dip in the center that was the weakest part. I only needed to reinforce that dip.
After I took it out I put it on 4x4s upside down and stomped on it. I was able to bend it with ease. I cannot move it at all now... nothing.
As far as water, there are plenty of places for the water to come out. It wont retain any. All it needs now is a coat of paint.

OK I have moved.
Car is fine. Shifts good. And clutch feels good too.
Crossmember does not bounce at all. I am sure there is a little give in it, but better then before.

Update:

Car is currently off the road for a much needed tune up and other little odds and ends. Going to put on the relocation brackets and see how the TKO handles a little more bite from the rear. Also going to spray it... just a 150 shot. I dont anticipate being on the road until perhaps Sept.

I just got my new shift lugs from my Tremec. The guy I talked to said that he was 98% sure they would clear up the 2nd to 3rd gear dead spot (3rd also grinds when shifted over 3500 RPM's). If it doesn't work the guys at AMP said they would rebuild it or replace it with a new TKO 600  . My trans has less than 800 miles on it. I gotta tell you, I'm impressed with the service I've gotton with AMP and Tremec. You just don't see that much anymore. :)

Car is back on the road. Going to take it to the track tonight and beat it. Added relocation brackets to the rear end and trick springs. Not sure how things are going to turn out. The clutch does not slip at all and if I get the tires to finally hook up I might actually find the weakest link in the drivetrain. Somethings got to give ...right?

I will consider it a victory if I can get anything under 1.70 in the 60'. I should have a video.
transmission feels pretty good. With the temp dropping 10 degrees in the last week I can once again notice the 2-3 shift bumps the gears again when its not warmed up.
This should be a good test of the new and improved crossmember too. Without the reinforcements on the crossmember , it was sagging bad enough to cause the driveshaft to rub the safety loop on launch and when shifting gears.
Ill have a vid, either in car or of the launch.
