I have $950+ invested in the clutch/flywheel. I wont be changing the size anytime soon. The McLeod 10.4 is pretty good. I am happy with it.
I am pondering a 621 bell and going hydraulic again. Just dont have much money to play with right now.

Alright. I have everything lined up for the hydraulic conversion. All parts identified and money is getting consolidated to make the deal.

Only 2 things stand in the way. The John Bdzel clutch pedal and the possibility of having to reinforce the firewall for the clutch master/cylinder.
I emailed John, but no reply yet.
I thought I had seen a template for the firewall but I cant find it anymore. I called Mike Forte and lined up all the parts, he has everything in stock and is ready to ship once I pay.

I think the hardest part will be the clutch pedal alignment to the M/C. Everything else is just labor intensive and VERY EXPENSIVE!! Nearly 1K for this conversion.

Ill take pics of everything.

And support braces I used from a mid 80's f-body.

Maybe 30k miles and it works flawlessly.

If you buy the right stuff you pay... if you buy cheap stuff you pay eventually...

I'm guessing you're buying all new parts? Your thread is legend btw  ;) I bet some of the hydraulic guys can shed some light on the reinforcement issue, but I don't think there's that much pressure being put on the firewall. About 3" length of angle iron on either side of the mounting holes would probably be plenty I think, if even required.

Ok... Craig just posted pics... Looks good 'nough to me ;)

Hey Craig,

Your pics are already a fixture on my desktop. Thanks for all of the info and hard work.
Just got the email from John Bdzel. 175 + shipping for the new clutch setup.
Almost ready to start.

Hey no problem, glad I could help.

I will also add that my clutch pedal is very stiff so I have no doubts that this bracing is adequate for any application. I had to tweak those rods a little bit with a torch IIRC, but they worked out pretty well.

Let the Madness begin!!!!

All parts purchased. Going hydraulic and I hope everything works out well.

What do I do about the original hole for the clutch linkage? Does the M/C fit right there? I have seen the template, but have yet to crawl under the dash and really look.

I am not sure where that hole is. I do recommend cutting the big hole that the M/C goes through first and making sure the geometry is good before drilling the two mounting holes. At least thats how I did it.
