FINALLY put the body of the '78 in the barn this morning, working on cleaning the interior floor off right now, need to do that and make sure the body mount areas are ready before setting it on the frame.

It's part of the Eastwood chassis kit (about $130 on their site I think). It comes in a spray type bottle (no nozzle, just a lid), but from my experience I wouldn't try a spray nozzle again in a million years. The label says you can use an HVLP, conventional spray nozzle, or just brush it on, I think Eastwood also has their own gun for it. We wound up brushing it on. It starts as a milky white liquid, and turns a fairly thick blue as you're brushing it on (after a minute or so), almost the consistency of regular paint. After 20 minutes (according to the label) it does appear to be a black oxide type finish, and the label calls for a 2nd coat after 20 minutes, but we just went around the frame a couple times until it all looked like it was covered - then a 48 hour cure period.

After, you put a rust inhibitor/primer on, then the chassis black.

Thanks :D I put the last coat of paint on it last night... it feels great to be able to say the frame is finally DONE :D

I did a lot of cleaning/prodding on the body yesterday and round several "problem" areas, but now that I can semi-weld it's all much less intimidating. I'll post pics in my build thread later.

Here's the frame \:D/
