Yes , it was my first DEBUG debacle.

I am not sure about all manuals. Keisler did say that the parts that use to be installed were plastic and that now they are carbon fiber for better wear.

For 750 are they going to upgrafe the shift forks to steel forks and the plastic fork pads with bronze pads and the stamped metals keys with the solid hardened key???

for 750 it sounds like your getting a blocker ring kit (500) + labor(250)

If the other parts are NOT upgraded as well you are wasting your money

fixed the extra posts for you

and I've noticed with my t-56 that if I rest my hand on the shifter it makes more gear noise while I'm driving....good to know that it's a no-no

sorry to hear that its another $750 but hopefully this will get you sorted out

That is good to know, not to rest your arm on the shifter.
Do you know the serial # of your trans?

For 750 the 1-2 clutch/synchro pack is replaced and the 2-3 as well. The clutch fork pads are replaced with carbon fiber, and all new shims to get everything back to spec. The New shift dogs that came from TTC will be installed. That should be about it.

I dont remember the serial number and I dont have the transmission to look right now.

I have installed the McLeod Street Twin. It was a little more involved..lots of shims. I also replaced the pilot bearing with a BRONZE piece. The roller bearing I had in there no longer had needle bearings. They were ground to nothingness. I took pics. Ill get them up soon.

Put the transmission in friday afternoon. It is really tight. More so then I remember when I bought it. The McLeod Street twin feels pretty good. The pedal is very stiff. The CF DF always chattered in reverse, the Street Twin does not. My TREMEC experience is no longer as smooth as I liked. Hopefully things will losen up after a few miles.

Keisler replaced:

Rear cluster gear bearing
Output shaft to case bearing
1-2 synchro assembly
2nd gear
3rd gear
input shaft and bearing assembly

+2 hours of labor for a total of $790 shipped.

Do you think I have spent a few dollars on the drive line???
Original TREMEC deal: $3042
3 different clutch kits totaling: $1500
QP rear end: $2495
Odd and ends: $$$.$$ who knows for sure.

Hey Jeff.. how stiff is that pedel? I know you've had your stick shift bu for some time, but if the pedel is too stiff, it'll weaken that frame bracket and eventually snap it. I found that if you get a second one, and weld the two together it's alot stronger, and you'll only have to watch the holes for ovaling instead of worrying about that bracket snapping..

Its REALLY stiff. I dont know what part you are talking about.
Frame bracket? The part that screws into the frame with the three screws?

Clutch sure is smooth.
Shifting is not as smooth as it once was. The new shift dogs are really tight and precise feeling. Funny thing... third gear still bumps as you shift when its cold.
I went ahead and beat on it a little bit today. Felt ok. I think I drank too much tonight.. I am not really feeling happy with it.
