I stole this info from a site that did a T-5 conversion into a Monte Carlo

To the best of my knowledge, the following are the only bellhousings that will work with the factory 1978-1981 A body mechanical clutch linkage:

1978 A body (casting 464697; ) for 168-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet; use with clutch fork: GM 14007356

Positive identifiers: casting 464697, lowered clutch fork ballstud, and 697 cast onto inside clutch fork ballstud boss

1978 A body (casting 469697; for 168-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet; use with clutch fork: GM 14007356

Positive identifiers: casting 469697, lowered clutch fork ballstud, and 697 cast onto inside clutch fork ballstud boss

1978-1981 A body (casting 462606; for 153-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet; use with clutch fork: GM 14007356

Positive identifiers: casting 462606, lowered clutch fork ballstud, and 606 cast onto inside clutch fork ballstud boss

1978-1981 A body (casting 563441; for 153-tooth flywheel; Buick-Oldsmobile-Pontiac [BOP]; use with clutch fork: GM 14007356

1982 V8 F body (casting 14037657; for 153-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet/BOP; use with clutch fork: GM 14037647

1983 V8 F body (casting 14060627; for 153-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet; use with clutch fork: GM 14037647

1984-1988 Corvette (casting 14048867; for 153-tooth flywheel; Chevrolet; use with clutch fork: GM 14066235

Lakewood Industries 15015 for 1982-1983 V8 F body use with clutch fork: Lakewood Industries 15500, GM 340278, or GM 14066235

The top 2 (467697 / 464697)are for the 11" clutch. The Lakewood bell can use an 11" clutch.

I AM DONE MESSING AROUND!!!!!

I want a clutch that can hold the power I make and then some. I want a clutch setup that has room to grow.

I went ahead and ordered the McLeod Street Twin dual disk setup. Advertised to handle 1200HP. I make a fraction of that. So I am confident that I wont break it. Now then, when I break my driveshaft I will let you know.

First part from Mcleod arrives. The throwout bearing. Why couldnt it be made by Timkin or some other American company? Its made in China.

Above the bearing and below the collar are 2 shims that are removable to adjust the height for proper engagement.

Why they wouldn't send an American escapes me :(

Some poor Chinese kid made this for about $11.67 and then sold it to Mcleod for $25. They then sell it to me for $94 bucks !!
Why buy a quality American made part from an American worker who commands at least $25/hr to machine this when you can outsource for cheap Chinese labor?

McLeod Street Twin vs Center Force DF

Here is a visual side by side comparison. I was under the assumption that the McLeod was much taller. Everything is the same except the diaphram on the McLeod is much lower. Perhaps this will give me much shorter clutch movement?
