I called QuickTime today. Talked to Ross and he will fix the problem. Last week he had the bell by Tuesday and completed the work and shipped the same day. They should have it again tomorrow, I am hoping they can ship it again same day so I can have it by Friday.
I am already anticipating the next problem and that is going to be not enough fork throw so I cant disengage the clutch or the system will be too slow for the way I drive or something is going to get in the way or the line is going to leak or I wont be able to bleed it completely or the m/c will fail after I beat on it or.........

I used a stock fbody mc and slave on my last setup with a 168 clutch and I could not adjust enough throw. I gave up and tore it all apart. I believe the bigger mc and slave would have fixed the problem. You are so close. You will get there. :thumbsup: Chris
Called QuickTime to see if they were able to complete the adjustment and when it would be sent. They received the bell Tuesday and repaired and shipped it same day. You gotta love a company that takes care of a customer like these guys do. Ill have it tomorrow. Pics to follow Friday night if I am not too crazy during Halloween.
I got the bell on Halloween. I installed everything today, Sat Nov 1.
What a horrid PITA to bleed this system. I spent 30 minutes with my 15 year old daughter, who was depressing the clutch for me and got nowhere. She is a horrible partner. Dont use your children for this sort of thing.
The clutch feels as if I have done nothing. I got about 1/4 -1/2 inch of fork travel then nothing. The clutch began to get hard near the bottom then all of the work seemed to dissappear. Not sure how.
I have read several forums about the LS1 owners who have done this yet I am getting zero accomplished.

Sorry Jeff, I cant offer any advice for bleeding the clutch. I remember mine being a complete PITA and I simply kept doing it over and over and eventually got it. I cant remember if there was some trick to it or not.

do what some of the f-body guys do, take a mity vac with a pointed adapter on it and stuff it in the hole in the reservoir and pump the heck out of it....thats how I bled my Tilton and it worked like a charm, one person and about 10 minutes and I was done...its worth a shot imo (you are braver than I, I have a 15 year old daughter as well...I wouldn't dare ask her lol)

It was the second time I asked for her help. I actually had her run the jack with the transmission on it while I positioned it under the car and slid it in the bell. She did good on that.
Here is a couple of pics of the slave. The new angle is not perfect but it will work fine I think. The fork was so close that I had to cut the rod to make it work. It also angles out past the bellhousing a little bit. This could interfere with a header maybe. The fork has zero play so Ill get all of the potential slave movement. And another good thing was the throwout bearing from McLeod, it had 2 removeable spacers to adjust the collar height. I had to take both off. Perfect fit.
Not sure if that is ideal. I have some play in mine and even installed a spring to pull the fork back therefore keeping the T/O bearing off the P/P when the clutch is released.Meat Drapes said:
