So I called Keisler, they will sell me a hyd throwout bearing. That is an option. I then called Mike Forte and spoke with him for a few minutes.
It turns out that he has a clutch fork that is made for the 168T bell that is an inch longer to accomodate the larger bell. So based on my pics on page 29? the geometry was correct. All I needed was the longer fork and not send the bell back and forth.
As it stands now I have the 168T bell and the slave adjusted to the shorter fork. Basically I screwed the whole thing up.

Is it just me? Am I doing something wrong? I know I dont have great karma but geez. Forte is not even sure the 1" of fork will make much of a difference. I personally dont know what to think right now.

I put my bathroom scale on the clutch pedal. 90 lbs of effort required to get it to move. I understand why my leg is in pain.

I think 1" will make a noticeable difference. Lets say your current fork is 5" from the pivot point to the slave hole. If you add 1" that should be a 20% decrease in pedal effort or in your case 18 pounds of force.

I would measure the force of mine just to compare for you, but unfortunately the car is in storage and not here.

I have had more than a few "If I knew then what I know now..." moments with my car too.

So here is a new twist. Keisler called me today. I talked with Richard, he and I have been dealing with my install since the beginning. Earlier I had told him about this thread and that I had documented my install. I showed him how to get here and he read it today.
I guess with all of the ups and downs and the history Richard is going to send me the hyd throwout bearing kit for free. Even if they had offered it 50% off I would have been happy. I was close to just buying it anyway.

So heres to Keislers customer service and standing by me three years after the install.

All I have to do now is remove the transmission, again, and take some measurements so the hyd throwout bearing can be shimmed to my application. They also want to know the diameter of the M/C and the amount of 'throw' from clutch disengaged to fully engaged. If I can get these numbers to them before 3:00 pm tomorrow I can have it shipped same day. If you need me, Ill be under my car.

transmission is out. No signs / evidence of binding. Nothing unusual.

When I take my car to the track and everyone is peeking at the competition in the staging lanes, the comments are worth it when you have a 5 speed in front of a bench seat with Rat power. If I had a auto, I would be like everyone else. I dont mind a little poke in the eye 700R4 when I am down. I wont be down forever.
